Poison Ivy is a character created by Robert Kanigher, Joe Giella and Sheldon Moldoff. She is a brilliant scientist who was pushed into a vat of the Venom formula. The Venom formula gave her superhuman strength, invulnerability, the ability to kill anyone by kissing them, and the ability to emit pheromones that put men under a trance where they are compelled to obey them. She uses these powers and her scientific knowledge to take revenge on humanity for the enviromental damage humans have done to the Earth. Thankfully, Batman always manages to defeat her.
