Kane is a fighter working for the wrestling company known as the WWE. After his face was scarred when his house burned down, his brother, an evil sorcerer known as the Undertaker, used the Necronomicon to turn Kane into a Deadite, giving Kane superhuman strength, invulernability, and the ability to control fire, but also driving his mind into a state of a constant berserker rage.
When Mysteries Inc were trying to stop a monster that was menacing the WWE, Vince McMahon, in an effort to sabotage Mysteries Inc's efforts, pit Shaggy and Scooby in a fight against Kane. However, Shaggy and Scooby managed to defeat Kane and continue their efforts to save the WWE.
