Karate Kid is a character created by Jim Shooter. His knowledge of chi gives him superhuman strength and invulnerability, and makes him a master of every single martial art on Earth. Since his parents are Yakuza, he decided to use his powers and skills to fight the forces of evil as a superhero. He is a member of the Legion of Superheroes, a supehero team from the 30th century.
