Robin Hood is a noble hero living in Sherwood, a forest near the town of Nottingham, in Medieval England.
After the noble and just King Richard went off to protect his kingdom from invaders, he left his son, Prince John, in charge of the kingdom. Prince John is a cruel, greedy and merciless ruler, so Robin Hood decided to move to the forest to become an outlaw and fight against Prince John's tyranny, stealing back to the people what Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham take away from the people with their unfair taxes.
