Doomsday is a character created by Dan Jurgens, Brett Breeding, Jerry Ordway and Louise Simonson. He is a genetically-engineered being created for the purpose of defeating Superman in combat. Thus, he is dedicated to killing Superman and those Superman cares about. He has superhuman strength, superhuman speed, invulnerability, razor-sharp spikes, and the ability to adapt to any attack.
